Infra Corporation, international developer of web-based IT Service Management software, announced that it has been included in Gartner Inc.'s 2003 IT Service Desk Magic Quadrant report.

The IT Service Desk Magic Quadrant identifies vendors that have focused on developing a complete IT service desk suite for the enterprise market. Infra's inclusion is a recognition of the significant functionality advances in the company's web-based software application, and recent rapid growth in international markets.

In an otherwise stagnant market in which "most vendors experienced flat or negative growth", Infra has achieved double-digit sales growth during the past two years.

Chris Wade, Director of Infra's Los Angeles regional head office, says that even though IT budgets continue to be tight, "Infra is finding its market because it delivers ongoing value for money by allowing organizations to improve internal processes and deploy them easily and cost-effectively across the web."

This mirrors Gartner's advice in the IT Service Desk Magic Quadrant that "Enterprise buyers need to focus on process refinement and selective tool acquisition where clear short-term return on investment can be realized."

Wade notes that an active policy of moving to web-based applications is now a standard in many enterprise IT strategies for their long-term deployment and integration advantages. "As one of the first vendors to take a fully web-based application to the market, Infra is able to offer a mature web product with a track record of successful enterprise implementations," he says.
