Business Development Manager

Overview

As Business Development Manager your primary focus will be to find, qualify and convert new business sales of Infra’s leading software solution to government departments and commercial organisations across the region. The role also includes management of existing accounts, selling additional licenses, consulting services and software upgrades.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of successful IT solution selling within the government sector. The right candidate will be able to understand, demonstrate and present Infra solutions to meet specific business requirements of prospective clients and develop those relationships long term with high levels of integrity and professionalism. The BDM must be a self-starter, be proactive, able to manage demanding workloads and be a proven achiever of challenging targets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve first class Infra product knowledge
  • Achieve an excellent understanding of the IT Service Management Industry (ITIL training provided)
  • Management of the sales process and prospecting of new leads
  • Pursue leads supplied by the marketing department
  • Perform product demonstrations
  • Respond to tenders and manage the tender process
  • Participate in seminars, briefings and trade shows
  • Analyze customer problems, needs and requirements, and then position the Infra solution to meet them
  • Creation of complex quotations covering licensing, training, implementation and consulting services.
  • Monthly reporting of opportunities and sales forecast
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified (Business/Commerce discipline preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years enterprise IT solutions selling experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of sales achievements within IT solutions
  • Ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
